Patrick and Stephanie met in March of 2012 during Stephanie's semester as a student teacher. The result of a brilliant collaboration between two of the schools best teachers, Melanie and Jeff, was their introduction to each other in the health room after school one day. Stephanie talked about her performance at the Celtics game with her dance team the night before, and Patrick mentioned an upcoming gig with his band, The Siracusa Project. After a short, and only slightly awkward introduction, Patrick and Jeff headed back to the gym where it is rumored Pat told Jeff he thought Stephanie was "absolutely beautiful." Jeff may or may not have shared this with Stephanie after she begged to know what he had said about her. She didn't believe him, but it was soon confirmed. It was love at first sight.

Later that day came the "friend request" and later that weekend, an invitation to see Pat's band play in Lowell. Stephanie played it cool and said she would see what she could do to convince her friends to go. At dance that night, Patrick was the topic of conversation and Stephanie asked Becky, Courtney, and Kelley if they would go with her to see him play. Being the best of friends, they agreed and were excited to meet him.

As the lead singer in Pat's band, and one of his closest friends Dan recalls (very clearly), Pat was "wound tighter than an Amish quilt about this girl he had met at work", and the possibility of her coming to their show that night. Stephanie and her friends came, and listened to the band's first set from a table in the center of the restaurant. Stephanie wasn't sure if Pat saw her at first, because he avoided any and all eye contact while he played. Stephanie thought it was a little weird. Her friends figured he was just shy. Eventually Patrick came over to Stephanie's table and bought her and her friends a round of drinks. Her friends approved and the rest is history.

Patrick asked Stephanie for her phone number and they began talking and making plans. Stephanie and Patrick will never forget the surprise snow-fall at the end of the show that early spring night. They watched it fall outside the window of Garcia Brogans under the soft street lights, a simple reminder that the most beautiful things can happen at the most unexpected, yet perfect, times.
