Our Wedding

While many of you were part of this story, we wanted to share a glimpse here. In the Fall of 2017, we met outside our first class at Notre Dame. Calculus. It might not have been the most romantic of places (the dingy basement of Hayes Healy), but it completely changed the course of our lives. From that day onward, we were best friends and took most of our classes together. We spent countless hours together, as friends. After four years of memories, we graduated and moved across the country from each other. As John had settled into his new apartment in Seattle, Washington, he invited Steff to visit before her job started in Chicago. That was the first flight of many as we decided to start a long distance relationship that weekend: Steff in Chicago and John in Seattle. After a year of racking up airline miles, Steff arrived in Seattle with all her belongings, ready to embark on the next adventure—building a life together. After a couple years living in the "cool neighborhood" Capitol Hill, we moved into our current apartment in Green Lake. On the morning of August 16, 2024, John proposed in our perfect, albeit small, Greenlake apartment. The proposal was the perfect start to the best weekend of our lives—we celebrated with our closest friends and family, from toasting at our favorite brewery to playing in a pickleball tournament, all leading up to an unforgettable engagement party. Our Story

Olympic Valley is located north of Lake Tahoe. We have two room blocks (at The Village and PlumpJack Inn) with discounted rates for our guests. Both options are walking distance to the ceremony and welcome party. Please see details below.

The hotel is located in the Palisades Olympic Village. It is central to shops and restaurants in the area, as well as walking distance to Welcome Party and Wedding Day events. The Village at Palisades Tahoe

The hotel is walking distance from Welcome Party and Wedding Day events. Wedding guests may call 800-323-7666 and ask to book a room in the “Keene Quinn” block. Guests with this wedding receive 15% off the standard hotel rates. Entire stay including tax and resort fee is processed upon booking and non-refundable if cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival. PlumpJack has a two-night minimum stay on weekends. Room rates are subject to 10% occupancy tax, 2% district tax and a resort fee of $28 per night.

Flying In

We recommend flying in to&nbsp;Reno-Tahoe International Airport&nbsp;(around 50 minutes from the resort).An alternative airport is Sacramento International Airport (2 hours from resort).

Driving to Tahoe

We either recommend:- Renting a car at Reno-Tahoe International Airport- Taking the&nbsp;<a href="https://northlaketahoeexpress.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">North Lake Tahoe Express (Red Line)</a>&nbsp;shuttle from the Reno airport to the Village at Palisades. The airport shuttle needs to be booked at least 24 hours in advance. There are discounts for multiple riders. Note the shuttles run limited hours. Getting around Tahoe

The following Wedding weekend activities: Welcome Party, Ceremony, Reception, and After Party&nbsp;will all be within walking distance of The Village at Palisades Tahoe. Note: There are&nbsp;very limited&nbsp;Ubers/Lyfts available.

Golf course located in Olympic Valley. Less than 2 miles from the Palisades Village. There are complimentary shuttles that run in between Everline Resort and the Village.

Shopping in The Village at Palisades Tahoe

We recommend checking out Lake Tahoe during your stay! The North Shore is ~20 min drive from Olympic Valley. There are plenty of spots around the lake to lay by the water or picnic, but the closest one is North Shore Beach.
