It all started in a place we never expected, Joliet Junior College in Illinois 16 years ago. I was in charge of building sets, lights, and working events. Stephanie came in as a student, performing in shows, helping me at times with sets, learning about tools with me. Over the course of 3 years nothing blossomed, we were just acquaintances, sharing a passion for the performing arts. It wasn't our time yet...

Stephanie moved away to Greenville, SC right after our final performance of Little Shop of Horrors. I soon got married and eventually had 2 children of my own. Life moved on, I never thought about Stephanie after she left. I eventually even purged her from facebook! (yea, I know, she was gone from my life forever)

10 years went by, life evolved, we both had our own adventures, experienced life, love, hurt, pain....then I moved to Greenville. SC for work with my family....unknowingly, Stephanie lived there as well. When I moved to Greenville in 2020 for work I knew nobody. It was a completely strange world here... .so Marty, one of my best friends, kept tabs on Stephanie and told me to reach out to her because he thought she lived here in Greenville area. So I did...she remembered me! Alas, it still wasn't our time though, we chatted a few days via messenger then she disappeared into the abyss for another 15 months.

On February 21st of 2022, I was having a rough time, going through a divorce and really needing a friend....so Marty, my trusty reminder of Stephanie, asks if I've seen her since I've been down in Greenville. Sooo I reached out to her. She asked where I was working, I responded Limoncello and that she should come in for $2 prosecco Tuesdays! (I really didn't expect her to meet up with me, but it would be nice to see an old face from back home) Well, THE STARS ALIGNED and it was now our time. On February 22nd, 2022 she messaged that evening and asked if I was at work. Yep I responded, come on in it's Prosecco Tuesday. When she arrived it was like as if no time had passed, we were immediately overjoyed to be reunited. We sat at the bar that evening until past close then went to a rooftop bar across the street to continue catching up. Over the next few weeks we hung out at least once a week having adventures...then came the first unexpected life changing KISS!

We were playing sand vollyball on St. Patricks day, of course drinking responsibly *cough, cough, wink, wink* and Stephanie went to the bathroom during a game break, I had to go as well and followed her, waiting outside the bathroom I decided to be funny and knocked on the door, then jiggled the door handle, knocked some more, jiggled the handle then WHAM!! She whipped the door open, grabbed my collar, pulled me into the bathroom and started kissing ME! Well....that was it, that started us.

Over the coming months we began to officially date, we were together 4-5 nights a week, constantly going out on new adventures, exploring the world, just living. By July, I knew I loved her, being with her was like living a fairy tale with many magical moments. By December, I knew I wanted to be with her forever, soooooo, I bought a ring. THE END!

Just Kidding..

I held onto that pocket hole burning ring until February 22, 2023. I planned the evening down to the minute, even a post party with some of her Friends as well at the roof top bar across the street. . We went to dinner at Limoncello that evening, it was prefect. Her family joined us. After dinner, we moved to the bar, where I proposed to her at the very moment she walked back into my life in the same exact seats we chatted for those few hours that magical day on 2/22/22 on a Tue.

Well...here we are over a year and a half later. Falling more in love with each passing day, experiencing what couples experience, BUT most importantly living our adventures together!
