Williamsburg is a smaller city with a variety of activities for everyone. While you are here, definitely check out Merchant Square, Williamsburg's "downtown," to visit the various shops, restaurants, and more. A few of Stephanie's favorite shops include Brick & Vine, Penny and a Sixpence, and French Twist Boutique.
If you like history, you'll find more than four centuries of history in the Greater Williamsburg Area - Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown. Colonial Williamsburg is a truly unique experience. We recommend taking a stroll down Duke of Gloucester Street to see the re-creation of life on the eve of the Revolutionary War.
There are so many different restaurants around the area as well. We love Sal's By Victor for delicious and casual Italian (don't let the outside fool you!). Another great Williamsburg favorite is Food for Thought, which has a delicious menu and great atmosphere. Head into Merchant Square and experience a variety of different options - from French cuisine at Blue Talon Bistro, to the English pub DoG Street Pub, to the casual order-at-the-counter diner Retro's Good Eats, to coffee and treats at Aroma's, there's options for everyone.
For the beer fans, head over to Precarious Beer Hall for arcade games, food, and lots of beer options (we come here A LOT). We also love Billsburg Brewery where you can sit outside at the Jamestown Marina, and there's always food trucks!
