Believe it or not, our story began way back in 2015, during our rambunctious college days. We were both playing club sports and were a part of George Mason Greek Life; during these days, our paths crossed frequently whether it was due to sorority/fraternity functions, small get togethers with mutual friends, and even the occasional Mason hockey games. While sparks may not have flown immediately, there was definitely a certain magnetic energy between Keith and Steph - he always viewed her as the pretty and outgoing shortie and she considered him the cute and quiet guy in the group.
Fast forward five years. Life took us down different paths, and for a while, our college connection became a memory tucked away. Then, in the strange and chaotic world of 2020, fate intervened when our familiar faces appeared on each other's bumble apps. Maybe it was the nostalgia at first, but our virtual reconnection quickly turned into a never-ending conversation.
In October 2020, we took our connection to the next level with a romantic getaway to Charleston. It was there, amidst the charming streets and historic charm of the city, that our love story truly blossomed. From exploring the colorful streets to indulging in delicious Southern cuisine, every moment was filled with laughter, connection, and a growing sense of "this is it." It was during this trip that Keith asked Steph if she wanted to "go steady," a sweet throwback to a simpler time. It was a moment that perfectly captured the old-fashioned romance and modern love that defines our relationship.
We quickly realized that our connection was more than just a short-term fling. We spent countless hours together, sharing laughter, dreams, and deep conversations. From cozy nights in, curled up on the couch watching movies and listening to music, to romantic dinner dates exploring new restaurants in Old Town Alexandria, every moment was filled with joy and anticipation.
As we got to know each other on a deeper level, we discovered shared passions, inside jokes, and talked about what our favorite things are (i.e., the Beatles for Keith) and what our least favorite things are (i.e., the Beatles for Steph). After just a few short months of dating, it became clear: we were head over heels in love and ready to build a future together.
So, here we are, a college crush rekindled by a lucky swipe, ready to tie the knot and embark on our forever adventure! We can't wait to celebrate this special day with all of you, the people who have loved and supported us on this incredible journey.
