Q + A

Where should I stay during my time in Oahu?

If you are looking to be more in the city, we recommend staying in Waikiki Beach at either Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach or The Twin Fin Hotel with oceanside views. These hotels will be within walking distance from St. Augustine Catholic Church. If you want a place that is close to our wedding reception at Paradise Cove, we recommend booking at any resort (Four Seasons or Aulani) or possibly do an Airbnb in Ko Olina.

Any discount codes for hotel stay?

Yes! So far we have a special events code that you can use at Alohilani Resort in Waikiki (close to St. Augustine Catholic Church). Please go on their website and use promo code to book (once you click apply, then click on view offers and then you will see "special events rate" and the price will adjust): ARWB2404SE

Is there an intermission between the Wedding Ceremony and the Reception?

Yes, there will be an intermission between the Wedding Ceremony in Waikiki and the Reception in Ko Olina to allow time for travel between the two sites. You will have time from 12:30pm to 3:30pm to head back to your hotels, freshen up, and enjoy lunch in Waikiki. We plan to have the shuttles leave at 3:30pm at the Alohilani Resort located in Waikiki Beach. Our wedding coordinator and "important cousin" will be there to help if there are last minute questions before departing Waikiki and arriving to Koolina. Please plan for extended travel time due to traffic between the locations.

What is the address for the shuttles?

'Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach 2490 Kalākaua Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815 *Shuttles will leave at 3:30pm*

What time should I arrive for the ceremony/reception?

We kindly ask you to arrive to St. Augustine Catholic Church at 10:50 am to ensure nothing is missed. The ceremony will begin promptly at 11am. For the wedding reception at Paradise Cove, we kindly ask for you to arrive at 5pm to enjoy the beautiful sunset and refreshing cocktails.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is Beach Formal Attire. For this time of year in Hawaii, may we suggest the following attire: Women - sundresses or long cocktail dresses with small heels or wedge heels for the outdoor reception on the lawn. Men - hawaiian shirts are encouraged or a light dress shirt with lightweight slacks; jackets and ties optional. I also have created a Pinterest link to help with inspiration... https://pin.it/7hfy0wr

Will the wedding be outdoors?

St. Augustine Catholic Church will be indoors overlooking the beautiful ocean in Waikiki. Paradise Cove will be an outdoor reception (including cocktail hour and dinner) on the lawn overlooking the ocean.

Are kids allowed?

We are very sorry, but we are keeping our special day as an adult only celebration. However, kids are allowed at the wedding ceremony located at St. Augustine by the Sea. Enjoy the night off for the reception!

Is there parking at the venues?

At St. Augustine Catholic Church, there is limited parking. We suggest riding Ubers or Lyft to this location. If you will be driving, we recommend allotting significant additional time to find parking near the church. At Paradise Cove, we will be having parking available for guests. However, we still suggest using Ubers or Lyft to this location for everyone to enjoy the open bar and be able to get home safely.

Could you suggest places to eat and drink while I am in town for your wedding?

ABSOLUTELY! Here are some of our favorite restaurants... Duke's in Waikiki, MonkeyPod in Ko Olina, Fresh Catch in Kaneohe, Wai Kai in Ewa Beach, Food Trucks by Sharks Cove & plenty more!!! Please text us and we can provide more places :-)
