Our Story

From Online to "I do"

Steph and Joe met on Hinge in 2021 and spent their first date, which Joe tried to convince Steph to wear sweat pants, eating Thai food and getting beers at what has turned into their favorite brewery in Philly, Human Robot. Things moved fast as Joe hugged Steph twice as he was bidding farewell on this fateful night. Over the (almost 5) years that they've been dating Steph and Joe have shared many adventures and explored many of their common interests such as camping, eating, kickball championships, traveling, dogs, long walks through their fair city. They moved in together in February of 2023 and got their first home in the Brewerytown neighborhood of Philly in May of 2025.

John Rigsby - Best Man

John is the only younger sibling of the groom. They grew up being very close and spent time playing games that Joe was WAY to big to be playing with a brother that is 8 years younger which caused there to be some....injuries at times. Including but not limited to: scrapes, bruises and only ONE broken bone that John will simply not stop talking about that happened when they were playing full tackle football in their parents bedroom and Joe tackled John with an epic suplex that caused a collar bone to shatter into a million pieces.

Christina (Tina) Kane - The Bride's Best Homie

Christina (affectionately known as Tina by Steph, only) is the bride’s cousin and bestie. Steph & Tina were always friends growing up but became especially close in their 20s. Steph & Tina share a perfectly in-sync, slightly off-beat sense of humor (maybe not for everyone else’s ears). With years of inside jokes, laughing until it hurts, and sometimes crying together, Tina has been Steph’s ride or die through all of life’s ups and downs — so of course she’s the obvious choice to help keep things running (and everyone laughing) on the big day. LOVE YOU TINA!

When can we arrive at Camp?

We have full access to the entire camp starting at 9:00am on Saturday September 5 until after breakfast on Monday September 7th. Please arrive as early as you would like since we have plans to have some intramural games for all who would like to get competitive!

What's the food situation at camp?

We will have several meals planned for the time you spend with us at camp! First meal will be a light lunch on Saturday followed by a classic pizza & keg party for our official welcome party. On the big day we will have brunch and then a wedding dinner and lastly we will have an easy grab and go brunch for people Monday morning but feel free to stay and eat on site and take in the beauty of camp one last time! We will also have a kitchen on site (not the official kitchen) that we will stock with lots of snacks and drinks and extra water for staying hydrated!

I heard we're all staying in cabins, what's that like?

Everyone is encouraged to stay at camp with us! Bonus points to the above 50 crowd who brave the wilderness and stay on site! Your reward will be an air conditioned condo with INDOOR PLUMBING. :) :) For the rest of the gang... please join us in our luxury bunkers. 20ish, single bunk beds, also with indoor plumbing! If you're local, please BYO sheets. If you're flying in (TYSM!!), we will secure you some sheets. These are definitely a bit rustic but we prefer to think of them as cute and cozy! :) There are enough cabins for everyone to stay on site both welcome night and the night of the wedding. ...For those who would rather be "friends of camp" there is a hotel block at the Courtyard Marriott in Collegeville, PA, with transportation provided to and from the wedding. Ott's Exotic Plants is an enormous plant store nearby with a beautiful variety of unique and exotic plants. There is a large greenhouse, complete with an indoor pond full of coy fish. Definitely worth a quick trip for our fellow plant lovers.

What to Wear?

We have been getting some questions about appropriate attire. We'd like everyone to wear what makes them feel like the best most comfortable version of themselves, and we hope everyone can have a little fun with the theme!

When selecting shoes, please keep in mind the ceremony will be on grass, be guided accordingly.
