Before I met Cody, I wasn’t getting lucky with finding someone who was wanting a serious relationship. Because of this I remember thinking to myself - I'm done, done looking, I'm just going to live my life and if it’s for me, it will come.

While I was working in the medical arts building at Mease Countyside, the facility had started doing renovations which required employees to park a ways away. From there I had parked every morning in the same general area. Almost every morning I would notice this cute guy in scrubs who would go in around the same time, but that was it, I would never make a move. One morning as I was walking into work I heard a voice behind me say “excuse me”, I turned around and it was that cute guy I had seen. He proceeded to ask me what my uniform was, cause he had seen others wearing the same shirts but they didn’t work in the hospital. So we got to walking and chatting for a bit. He told me his name was Cody and that it was nice to meet me. As soon as I walked into work all my coworkers could see this smile I had, so together we did a bit of stalking. A few weeks went by and I would occasionally see him, he would smile or wave from a distance, but we didn’t walk together again even though it seemed we had similar schedules. Finally, one afternoon I got out of work and Cody just so happened to be passing by where I was exiting (I swear he was waiting for me). So we walked all the way to our cars and stayed outside in the summer heat talking for close to an hour. All of a sudden Cody checked his phone and had to leave immediately for an “appointment”. He did take my number, but I remember thinking - Oh my god, I can't believe I talked that much and great I probably scared him off (I ramble when I get nervous, and he made me nervous). Later that night, I got a text along the lines of, he was sorry he cut me off and had to leave but he had a haircut he had to get to, but that he enjoyed talking to me. I didn’t know it at the time but from that day on Cody became my best friend.

From now on I live my life trusting that God has a plan for me, I know I will have a beautiful life if I just let things happen the way they are meant to without me having to search. God gave me my perfect man.

I met this hot chick in a parking lot, and now we’re getting married …..
