The Beginning

Joe and Stephanie met on Match.com in March 2017 when Joe reached out about March Madness. Joe's mom bought his subscription and Stephanie's profile was created by a former colleague who found her husband on match.com. They both agreed to meet at a local Starbucks as both were a little jaded about the relationship game. A cup of coffee, a cup of tea, and five hours later the rest was history.

Engagement story

While Joe and Stephanie had shopped for engagement rings together and she had no shortage of ideas, the actual proposal was a secret. While she had a suspicion that the "hookey day" they planned was the day, Joe kept her in suspense the entire day. He planned the entire day out - breakfast at Ann Sather's, Field Museum trip, drinks at the Chicago Athletic Association, dinner at Wildfire - still no ring. At that point, Stephanie had given up the idea that the engagement was happening. The last stop of the night was a "random request" from Joe to go see the projection art on the Merchandise Mart. When they got to the river and started watching the projection art, Joe got on one knee and proposed. They couldn't wait to share the news with both of their families and then celebrated the night at Untitled!
