Tyler and Stephanie met where all true love stories begin…in jail. Tyler was the new deputy working in the jail and Stephanie was the short,blonde, cute, angry deputy walking around and crushing dreams. Little did they know, the wheels of fate had already begun to turn. The two didn’t talk much until COVID shut the world down. When that happened, Stephanie was reassigned to the jail while schools were closed and assigned to the shift Tyler was on. One night they were teamed up together cleaning the jail, embracing the suck together. Then an email came out that said where you were assigned that night, was your assignment for the foreseeable future to slow the spread of COVID in the jail… *insert sad face* since they were both in and out of infected dorms and stuck cleaning the jail.

Tyler and Stephanie became good friends during the COVID shut down and ended up crossing paths periodically after that. Until one day single Stephanie seriously over estimated her DIY abilities when beginning a remodel in her house. Knowing that Tyler had experience, she reached out to him asking for advice. Then single Tyler asked Stephanie to be his date to his brother’s wedding. Stephanie said yes, then realized she was going to be on a cruise that weekend. She then asked Tyler to be her date to the Mande ball. Tyler said yes!

The Mande ball is the night that started it all! Tyler and Stephanie shared many dances together and even their first kiss. Thank you to P-Nut and V for being great wing men and pushing Tyler to make the first move. Then thank you to Kimberly for letting Stephanie and Tyler know she was going home and locking the door so Stephanie needed to figure out where to go from the ball. And the rest is history!

After a few months of dating, Stephanie had a moment of clarity of “this is what it’s supposed to feel like”. From festivals, to working out, to Mande Milkshaker shenanigans, to integrating Stephanie and Tyler into each others families, everything happened as if it was always meant to be. Greyson took to Tyler immediately and Tyler to Greyson. Tyler felt as if he was at home and this is where he really belonged.

Tyler knew that he was to be Stephanie’s milkman FOR LIFE. Tyler bought a ring and began to create, craft, and enact his plan…..

On April 08, 2023, Tyler took Stephanie and Greyson ziplining at Zip NOLA. Tyler was first, then Greyson, then Stephanie. When Stephanie arrived on the second to last platform, Tyler and Greyson were no where in sight. The guide told Stephanie that there was lightening in the area and everyone needed to get off the zip lines immediately. Stephanie went down the last line where Greyson and Tyler were standing out in the open. Another guide was unhooking Stephanie from the line with a weirdly big smile on his face. Stephanie is thinking everyone has lost their minds at this point.

The she realizes what’s happening. Greyson is holding a picture of their late dog Mazy and a sign that says “say yes mom, he’s a good dancer”. Tyler asked Stephanie to be his permanent dance partner. Obviously Stephanie said yes while trying not to ugly cry. Tyler and Stephanie continue have amazing adventures together such as getting Scuba certified with Greyson. Every week feels like Tyler and Stephanie are falling harder and harder for one another.
