Kevin got a mystery puzzle at a gift exchange and really wanted to solve it during a weekend trip to Door County. He worked on it whenever he had a free minute. I couldn’t fully understand the obsession, but I thought he was just super excited about solving it. A few minutes after we solved the puzzle, as I was reading the puzzle solution aloud to him in the mirror, I realized he had written “will you marry me” backwards on the page. He even matched the font so I wouldn’t notice right away.
