💕 Our Story

How we met

Sometimes love finds us in the most unexpected places. For Stephanie and David, it all began online through Bumble, where a simple swipe led to something extraordinary. Their very first date was at the movies—a night filled with nervous excitement, easy laughter, and the feeling that something truly special had just begun. From that evening on, their connection only grew stronger, turning into a bond built on love, trust, and countless shared memories.

The proposal

After years of love, adventures, and countless cherished memories, David chose the most magical time of year to ask Stephanie to spend forever with him. Surrounded by family on Christmas Day, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. In a moment filled with joy, happy tears, and holiday warmth, Stephanie said “Yes.” Together, they celebrated with those near and dear, and video called loved ones who couldn’t be there in person so no one was left out of the joy.

A Journey of Love

From a movie date sparked by fate to a Christmas proposal filled with love, Stephanie and David’s story has been nothing short of a blessing. Their relationship is made up of quiet moments and big adventures, of shared dreams and endless laughter. Surrounded by the love of their family and friends, they are now ready to begin the next and greatest chapter of all—their wedding day.

Chanelle - Maid of Honor

Chanelle is not only David’s youngest sister, but also Stephanie’s Maid of Honor and one of her closest, most trusted friends. From the very beginning, she has poured her heart into this wedding journey — offering support, ideas, laughter, and so much genuine love. She even captured our engagement photos with such care and intention, creating a memory we will treasure forever. Chanelle is the kind of person who shows up — fully, lovingly, and without hesitation. She has been a steady source of comfort, joy, and grounding throughout this chapter. Her creativity, her calm presence, and her ability to turn stressful moments into something light have meant more to us than words can express. For Stephanie, she has been a rock — someone to dream with, cry with, laugh with, and lean on. What started as family has grown into true friendship, and what started as friendship has become sisterhood. We feel so deeply blessed to share this day with her, not just as part of the wedding party, but as part of our hearts. 💕

Sam - Bridesmaid

Samantha—affectionately known as Sam—is one of Stephanie’s dearest and most cherished friends. Their friendship began years ago in the laboratory, where what started as coworkers quickly grew into a lasting bond filled with laughter, trust, and love. Sam has been an incredible support throughout the wedding planning, always ready to lend a hand or share words of encouragement. Fun fact: she was one of the very first people to hear about our engagement and has been celebrating with us every step of the way. We are truly blessed to have her by our side as we begin this new chapter. 💕

Linda - Bridesmaid

Linda and Stephanie first met in college, when Linda was Stephanie’s chemistry tutor — the calm, brilliant presence who helped everything finally make sense. What began as study sessions in the tutoring center quickly became something much more: shared snacks between classes, late-night encouragement, and the kind of conversations that build real, lasting connection. From those early days, Linda believed in Stephanie before she fully believed in herself. Her support, steady motivation, and gentle reminders of “you’ve got this” played a huge role in shaping the path that led Stephanie to becoming a microbiologist. Linda has always been the friend who shows up with love, patience, and unwavering loyalty. Over the years, she has become Stephanie’s rock — the person who reminds her of her strength, who listens with her whole heart, and who brings comfort, clarity, and joy into every season of life. Having her beside us on this day is so special, because this friendship has always been something rare and steady and true. Love you forever, Linny. 🤍

Will this be a child-free event

We love your kiddos, but this night is just for the grown-ups! Join us for an evening of laughter, dancing, and celebration—adults only.

What is the dress code?

👗 For Women • Floor-length gowns, formal cocktail dresses, or elegant evening wear • Please avoid wearing white or ivory, to honor the bride 💕 Please do not wear green any shade of green. 🤵 For Men • Dark suits or tuxedos with dress shoes • A tie or bow tie is encouraged. Please do not wear any shade of green.

📸 Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We will be having an unplugged ceremony—please put away phones and cameras so everyone can be fully present in the moment. Don’t worry, our photographer will capture everything, and we can’t wait to share the memories with you afterward!

🅿️ Is parking available?

Yes! Parking is included for all guests, and overnight parking will also be available at the venue.

🕕 What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. We kindly ask guests to arrive by 5:30 PM to allow time to park, check in, and be seated before we begin.

🥂 Will dinner and drinks be provided?

Yes! Guests will enjoy a full dinner service and celebratory drinks following the ceremony. We are happy to provide a one-hour hosted open bar during cocktail hour. Afterward, the bar will transition to a cash bar for the remainder of the evening. Non-alcoholic beverages will continue to be available all night.

✈️ I’m coming from out of town. Any travel tips?

The nearest airports are Ontario International Airport (ONT) and John Wayne Airport (SNA). Both are within an hour’s drive of The Retreat. Major freeways nearby include the 15 and 91.

May I bring a guest?

We kindly request that only those whose names appear on the invitation attend. We truly wish we could celebrate with everyone, but space is limited.
