We met in October of 2018 when Tom began working at Troy Historic Village. Stephanie has been working there since 2009. We were just friendly co-workers, except Tom had a secret crush on Stephanie from the beginning!

We fell for each other in November 2020 when we were working nighttime shifts at the museum for a holiday lights exhibit. We started dating a few weeks later. Tom proposed at the Village during another holiday lights shift on December 23 (a Festivus for the rest of us!) almost exactly a year after our first date. Our ceremony is at the same place where we met, fell in love, and got engaged!
