Ours isn’t a typical story.

We did not start like a Rom Com where the boy bumped into the girl, they fell in love, some misunderstanding pushed them apart, and by they ended up together again.

We didn’t start as high school sweet hearts that were inseparable for years before finally tying the knot.

We didn’t even have the story of the boy who chased the girl until she finally realized he was the man of her dreams.

Our story is one of divine intervention. Two boats aimlessly floating on a dark sea that found each other like beacons in the night, brought together by a plan higher than our own. We only have one regret, the time we spent without one another in our lives.

By the 28th of February, we will have been married for two amazing years. We have taken this short time to make up for all of the lost time we will never get back. We’ve travelled tens of thousands of miles across the country by motorcycle, car, truck, taxi, train, boat, and plane. We’ve visited nearly a third of the continental United States. We’ve shared endings like military retirement and glorious beginnings with the birth of our two beautiful daughters. Every step of the way we’ve held hands, brought our hearts closer together, and planned a future filled with excitement, prosperity, and happiness. Our story is marked by milestones planted together, undiscovered adventures that we’ve taken on together, and firsts for both of us.

Already, picturing a life without the other in it is impossible. We’ve been married in the eyes of the law, but this wedding is the more important to us. We want to be married in the eyes of God with our friends and family alongside us as we profess our undying love for each other.

Our’s isn’t the typical story. It’s better. It’s our story and we look forward to having you join us celebrate as we write the newest page in our book.
