Our Wedding

We met in 2022 at Landstown High School, but at first, we didn’t exactly hit it off in any spectacular way. We were just two people, going through the motions of work life, not really paying much attention to one another. Sure, we saw each other around—maybe exchanged a few casual words here and there—but there wasn’t that instant connection or spark that you read about in stories. It was just normal, nothing more, nothing less. But as time went on, we became cool with each other. We started chatting more, bonding over little things, and developing a comfortable, easygoing friendship. We got to know each other a little better, but neither of us was really looking for anything more. It wasn’t until one particular moment that everything shifted. It all started one day when I made a comment about the type of women I thought he liked. It was just a casual remark, nothing serious, but I guess he didn’t take it that way. Before I could even realize what was happening, he pulled me into one of the school counselor’s offices. There we were, in the room, and then he said something that completely threw me off. He looked me dead in the eyes and said, “You’re my type.” And just like that, my entire world tilted. In front of a few of our coworkers, he dropped the mic (figuratively, of course) and walked out, leaving me standing there, completely speechless. It was bold, unexpected, and, if I’m being honest, a little bit thrilling. For the first time, I saw him in a completely new light. I was intrigued. A few weeks later, we decided to go on our first date. It was May of 2023, and we went to Bay Local, a cozy spot that seemed perfect for a low-key midday date. The date was nice, but the sparks I had imagined didn’t exactly fly. We enjoyed each other’s company, sure, but it wasn’t some magical moment where I knew right away that this was the one. Still, something about him lingered with me. We stayed in contact, talking more and more over time, and the more we got to know each other, the more I realized that there was something deeper between us—something worth exploring. By September of 2023, we officially started dating. It wasn’t some grand declaration, but it felt right. Things felt easy with him. We understood each other, supported each other, and started to build something real, something lasting. And over the next year and a half, we grew even closer, sharing memories, laughter, and moments that made me certain I had found my person. Then came New Year’s Day of 2025. He surprised me by getting down on one knee, asking me to spend forever with him. I couldn’t believe it, but in my heart, I knew there was no one else I’d rather spend my life with. Through all the twists and turns, all the moments of uncertainty and growth, I had fallen in love with him in a way I never expected, but always hoped for. So here we are—engaged, excited, and looking forward to the future. From those early days at Landstown High, when we were just two people getting to know each other, to that bold moment in the counselor’s office that changed everything, our journey together has been anything but ordinary. And I wouldn’t change a thing. Every step, every moment, has led us to where we are today, and I can’t wait to see what comes next in our story.

We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you!  Please take a moment to review these important details to ensure everything runs smoothly for everyone.   Venue Location:  Gala417  2105 W Great Neck Rd  Virginia Beach, VA 23451   Ceremony Time:  The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 7:30 PM.  PLEASE NOTE: Doors will close to guests at 7:20 PM. Anyone arriving after 7:20 PM will not be able to enter the ceremony, as doors will reopen during cocktail hour at 8:00 PM.   Unplugged Ceremony:  Our ceremony will be completely unplugged. We kindly ask that all cell phones and devices be put away so you can be fully present and allow our photographer to capture the moment.   Dinner Timing:  Reception dinner will be served around 9:00 PM, so we recommend having a light snack before the wedding to hold you over.   Reception &amp; New Year’s Celebration:  The reception will conclude at 12:30 AM as we celebrate and ring in the New Year together!   Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We cannot wait to celebrate, dance, and welcome the New Year with all of you!
