Formal or Black-Tie Optional! As the wording suggests, this dress code is slightly less formal than a black-tie wedding. Wear what makes you feel good.
What time should I arrive at the church?
We recommend arriving about 20 minutes ahead of our scheduled start time. Arriving ahead of time will give you plenty of time to park and find a seat in the church before the bride arrives promptly at 3:00pm.
How far is the church from the venue?
From our church in Bay Shore to our venue in Woodbury, it is approximately a 25 minute drive.
What should I do in between the ceremony and reception?
You're in luck! Saint Patrick’s Parish is conveniently located on Main Street in Bay Shore. After the ceremony you can grab a drink or just hang out at any of our favorite bar/restaurants on the strip before meeting us at our reception (don't eat or drink too much though... save room for our cocktail hour and dinner)! The time in between can also be perfect for checking into your hotel room or going home to get ready for the reception.
How do I get to the venue?
There is on-site parking at the Fox Hollow if you'd like to drive your own car. Uber and Lyft are also available in the area as well. If you are getting picked up or dropped off at the venue, please let your driver know that our party is located at the Somerley Ballroom, not the Garden Terrace venue on the Fox Hollow property. If you are choosing to stay at The Inn at Fox Hollow, the hotel is on-site and there is no need for transportation.
Things to do
If you are staying at The Inn at Fox Hollow (the hotel conveniently located on the venue property), you can take advantage of the large courtyard which offers an outdoor pool, hot tub, indoor and outdoor bars, cabanas, and lawn games! Additionally, the Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course is located directly next to the hotel. This course is open to the public. You do not need to be a resident of Oyster Bay to golf there.
I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Please let us know in advance of any serious allergies so we can accommodate. There is a wide variety of foods (and A LOT of it).
Are kids invited?
To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day an adults only event. We thank you for your understanding and hope you take the opportunity to let your hair down and celebrate!
Will there be an after party?
Our reception will end at 11:30pm. We plan to keep the party going at Vintage 25 Bar and Lounge which is located at The Inn at Fox Hollow Hotel. The hotel is just a quick walk next door to the reception hall. Even if you are not staying over at the hotel, all are welcome.
