Blake and I originally met briefly at work. I had a huge crush on him, and he didn't know who I was. Blake left to work in Peoria. God had a plan for us. In 2019 I was on a trip with my parents in Yellowstone National Park and Blake had liked a few photos I had put on Facebook. He had never done that before. While on the trip I reached out to him on Messenger, and we talked the rest of the week. When I got back to Lincoln, we went on our first date for drinks at a bar in Lincoln. We saw each other again later that week and I knew I wanted this man in my life forever. Fast forward to July 2023 we were going on vacation to Gulf Shores, Alabama with Blakes family. Gulf Shores was a very important part of Blakes childhood, and I prayed he would someday ask me to marry him there. Little did I know that was his plan the whole time. Blake knows how much I love to travel and experience new cultures and places. We both love the outdoors and hiking. We have decided to get married in Colorado near the mountains. Choosing Colorado to get married was an easy decision.
