Our Story (with a Little Wedding Surprise 💛)

We met in 2015 in Denver, Colorado, working side-by-side in the corporate world, learning how to be teammates before we ever became partners. What started as shared projects, work lunches, and a whole lot of laughter turned into something real — and before we knew it, we were engaged.

That was seven years ago.

We kept putting our “big day” on hold, not out of hesitation, but because life kept shifting. We packed up our world, said goodbye to Colorado, and bought a little fixer-upper in Michigan — chasing something that felt more rooted and ours.

Then came the next dream: Stolan Acres — our laser engraving studio and custom sign shop, born from our love for creating meaningful things with our hands. What started in the corner of a spare room is now a full-blown business with a growing customer base, a powerful community on TikTok, and a vision that’s so much bigger than just signs. We've created branding collections for creators, swag for small businesses, and custom pieces that live in homes all over the country. We're proud of what it’s become... but the truth is, it’s taken everything we’ve got.

Stolan Acres has consumed every second of our lives. We’ve become total workhorses — building, designing, shipping, dreaming — all while navigating the chaotic beauty of growing a business from the ground up. We’re grateful, we’re exhausted, and we’re growing faster than we imagined.

In the process, we know we’ve gone a little MIA. We’ve lost touch with friends, missed milestones, and gotten swept up in the hustle. Not out of distance of the heart — but because sometimes chasing a dream makes the days blur together.

This past year also brought one of our deepest heartbreaks: the passing of our beloved dog, Ripley. She was our shadow, our road trip companion, our emotional support in the chaos, and we always imagined her walking down the aisle with us one day. Her absence is felt in every quiet moment, and especially on days like this.

So now, here we are — after all the delays, detours, and dreams — finally saying “I do.”

Not because life slowed down, but because we realized: we’re not getting any younger, and we’re ready for this chapter. No more waiting for the “perfect” moment. This is our moment.

On May 17th, we’re having a small, last-minute ceremony — just a simple way to honor what we’ve built and the love that’s carried us through every high and low.
