Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Ceremony & Reception?

The ceremony and reception will take place at the same location -> 23312 Old Yale Road, Langley Township, B.C. V2Z 2K4. Parking/Camping will also available be on the residence.

What time does the wedding start?

This is currently TBD at this time and we will know closer to the wedding invitations/day of, but please expect a later afternoon wedding start.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is semi-formal. Think business casual (with an emphasis on casual). Ladies, please note this on a private residence/yard so heels might want to be avoided (think dressy sandals, flats, etc.). The wedding will be in the summer time and it could be very hot that day so we would encourage a summer dress, skirt (light clothing) or loose dressy pants, etc. For men, a nice dress shirt with some nice dress shorts (even nice jeans if preferred). Overall, we want it a little dressy but also comfortable. Do not feel obligated to get too dressed up (unless you choose to).

What is the Food Situation?

Our caterer is Ritz Catering located in Langley. There will be two meat dishes, salads, a vegetarian pasta, potatoes, and so on. Vegans and vegetarians can let us know their dietary restrictions closer to/when RSVP-ing and we can help accomodate that.

What is the booze situation?

We would like to do a toonie/loonie ($3 a drink) bar and have some wine on the table available (most likely, two - three bottles per table). Since this is on a private residence there is an opportunity to BYOB but we do encourage you to bring your cash.

Is this wedding indoors or outdoors?

This will be an outdoor summer wedding with a tent and washroom amenities provided.

Is there a gift registry?

There is no gift registry as we have everything we need. We will have a box for cards/a honey moon fund. It's not necessary but if you do decide to bring a gift, if anything we would love cash to use toward a honeymoon/little get away vacation.

Can I camp overnight on the property?

Since this is a private residence, we have the space to allow people to camp overnight or pop up a tent where they can if you do not want to spend money on a hotel and/or want to have drinks (we do not encourage drinking and driving!). If you do plan to camp, please note that it would be appreciated for any campers to get their setup together earlier before the start of the wedding. To coordinate this and discuss further, please reach out to Brooke or Steve directly.
