Timing is Everything!

We have known each other for quite a few years as our families have always had a close connection. However, we never had the opportunity to really get to know each other back then. Over the last few years a group of us took up the hobby of kayaking. We both went on several trips together over the course of time, but this was our only interaction because we both stayed so busy with work and everyday life in general.

About a year ago life changes began to be made and time became more available allowing us to spend more time together. We have mutual friends who would ask us about each other and at first we brushed it off as we hadn’t gotten that close. Within a few months, we began spending more time with each other at church, going out to eat, and just hanging out with mutual friends/family. Then one Sunday in October we were a part of a group who took a missionary out to lunch after church and afterwards we went for cheesecake and coffee.

That day we sat for hours and talked about our hopes, dreams, values, etc. and began laying the foundation of our relationship. Then one Saturday morning in April (Steven's birthday) we went “blueberry picking” and decided on forever. Needless to say, we are so excited about our future and as much as we would love to share it with you all in person, unfortunately, we cannot accommodate everyone. As our day quickly approaches we would appreciate it if you would keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we start to prepare for our life together.
