We started talking on Facebook dating, which most people do not know about this dating service. I (Katy) took a chance on the dating portion, however with how I put in preference for age, distance, and multiple other choices. The preferences I put down would have NEVER allowed me to find Steven on my own. He was at the very least outside of my age range choice, but in Facebook dating I was able to see who has liked my profile.

His profile caught my eye almost immediately and we took it very slow. This was partly because I was in the middle of a college course and the distance/work schedules didn't make it easy for us to see each other often.

Nearly two months later, we went on our 3rd date to church together, dinner, movie, and gave me a late birthday present to ask me to officially be his girlfriend. Our relationship has tested us multiple times because of things we still continue to work on, but it has made us stronger. The communication between us is the best we have ever had in any relationship. I count us both lucky to find each other, and had so many fun adventures in almost a year and a half of dating before he asked me to marry him. It has been great figuring out wedding options together and really having the support of family and friends. Love you all and thanks for the support.
