On January 25th, 2021, Steven and Emily found each other on the dating app, Hinge. They instantly hit it off sharing their interests, dreams, and even their goofy sense of humor. After a short conversation through a screen, Steven had to rush to work and insisted that they would go out for a beer that week. On January 27th, the two met at Sound 2 Summit brewing company in Snohomish, WA and immediately, there was a connection. The two played a round of "Friends" trivia while getting to know each other further. They both loved hiking, photography, and exploring nature, so they decided to meet up at a beautiful park so that Emily could meet the adorable German Shepherd, Koda.

A few months went by and Steven and Emily called their relationship "official". It got pretty serious when Emily decided to move in with Steven in Monroe, WA in September of 2021. The two enjoyed getting to know each other's families, celebrating birthdays and holidays, and taking all the pictures.

In October of 2022, Steven and Emily bought their first home in Granite Falls, WA. They loved the small-town feel and doing big projects. They were so excited for the future.

In July of 2023, Steven and Emily took a vacation to see Emily's family in Hawaii. It was their first major trip together.

Little did Emily know, Steven had a plan to spend the rest of his life with Emily.

One beautiful morning, the two woke up and headed out on a waterfall hike. While taking a selfie, Steven got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him. It was an obvious yes. It was the most special and incredible moment in both of their lives.
