Our relationship began single-sided. At the beginning of February I (Raegan) began having feelings for Steve and made sure to spend extra time with him in groups, just hoping one day he would like me back.

With a tradition to uphold in doing a cross country pick-a-date to Sonic the movie, Steve asked me to be his "date".

With a smaller group in May Term, pickleball was almost a nightly occurrence. With much debate on whether or not the group would get food afterwards, a decision was not made until we got back to my dorm and Steve asked what the move was. Thinking he was going to include the group I said I was down for food and we drove to the 24 hour Wendy's alone and ate and talked for over an hour. When he dropped me back off at my dorm, he made the move and asked me on a date.

2 days later, we went to Fort Wayne to eat tacos per my request, got ice cream and walked around Promenade Park. When we returned to Marion we decided we wanted to spend more time together, so we went out to Fairmount Camp, walked around, and broke into the playground that was being renovated, the same place where two months later Steve told me he loved me.

Before spending two months apart for the summer, I got to drive down to Louisville for a few days and meet his family.

After 2 months of building our relationship a part from each other, we began dating shortly after reuniting. Jenna and Kenny conveniently took the leftover lunch back to the car to give Steve and I the opportunity to talk, and between tours at Mammoth Cave, Steve finally asked me to be his girlfriend.

Celebrated 6 months of dating and Valentines Day with a hike, pickleball, and homemade pizza!

Graduation Day! Steve was at a meet in Pennsylvania the few days leading up to graduation, but he drove separately so he could leave early and be back in time to see me walk.

Steve's 23rd birthday! On our way to Jenna and Kenny's rehearsal dinner we stopped to get donuts and got locked out of our car for 5 hours and missed the rehearsal. A memorable day to say the least.

June began our season of long distance which has been an adjustment for us, but has been fun to have the opportunity to prioritize others the season before marriage.

After waiting and wondering when Steve may propose, on a day I least expected it, after a meet in Fort Wayne, heading to dinner with my parents we made a pit stop at a park Steve and I went to on our first date. When we got to the park, Steve was waiting there and asked me to marry him!! I said yes ;)
