Sioux City Art Center

Come check out Sioux City's art museum, featuring an original Grant Wood mural!

Sioux City Railroad Museum

3400 Sioux River Rd, Sioux City, IA 51109, USA
(712) 233-6996

GREAT FOR KIDS AND ADULTS! They took over what used to be an old Milwaukee Road railyard and turned it into a museum. Includes TWO model railroad displays (one HO gauge, one Lionel) and also a small train you can ride in.

Chief War Eagle's Grave Historical Marker

Sioux City, IA 51103, USA
(712) 255-7903

A small park you can drive to containing the grave of, and monument to, Sioux Chief War Eagle. If you hike "off the beaten path" to the east, you can get a great view of the confluence of the Missouri and Big Sioux Rivers.

The Warrior Hotel, Autograph Collection

525 6th St, Sioux City, IA 51101, USA
(712) 317-1011

Historic hotel, recently restored, with bars on the second floor and the rooftop, which offers great views of Sioux City!

Jackson Street Brewing

607 5th St, Sioux City, IA 51101, USA
(712) 574-8403

Steven's favorite brewery in town! A small hole-in-the-wall brewery but with good room and seating. Try one of the sours!

Cone Park

3800 Line Dr, Sioux City, IA 51106, USA
(712) 222-2663

Not sure if this will be open at the time, but if so it will be a fun family activity. This park contains a snow tubing hill in the winter but also has equipment to go down the hill on a tube in the summer months!

Stone State Park

5001 Talbot Rd, Sioux City, IA 51103, USA
(712) 255-4698

A nature reserve on the far northwest side of town. You can either take a scenic drive through the forest or get out and do some hiking. Some easy trails and some harder trails, use your judgment because you're going to have to walk back up every hill you walk down!

Axe To Grind Axe Throwing Sioux City

2101 Hamilton Blvd, Sioux City, IA 51104, USA
(712) 444-7798

Pretty self-explanatory. And you can drink beer while you do it! (Steven and Amy assume no responsibility for any maiming, dismemberment, or blood loss.)
