We will be having an unplugged ceremony. It is very important to us that our guests enjoy their time and that we are able to capture that. Instead of having to take pictures yourselves, we ask that you keep your phones away and allow our photographer to capture all of our special moments, allowing everyone to be present.

Guest Book

In lieu of a traditional guest book, we ask that each family bring a recipe on an index card, provided in the invitation. We will have a stock pot near the front of the venue for them to be placed in. We both love cooking and would love to be able to remember our special day each time we try a new recipe given to us by our loved ones.

Our Wedding

Like all modern love stories, Steven and Aubrey's starts with a swipe right. They met right before the pandemic and during the shut down their dates became movie nights or days spent experimenting with elaborate recipes. When restrictions lifted, Steven took Aubrey to her first rave, Aubrey introduced him to crawfish, and they experienced so many moments together. They went through a year of long distance, the stress of law school, and the general challenges that life gives. Steven gave Aubrey the most beautiful proposal on November 13th, 2021 in Yosemite, Ca. They moved into their first apartment together with their pets, Toby and Rambo, and are looking forward to getting married March 18th, 2023.

Our Story

Steven and Aubrey often plan trips instead of gifts as they both enjoy the memories over the material. Aubrey had planned two trips for each of Steven's birthdays that they had been together so when Steven said he was planning a trip for hers it was not out of the ordinary. On the day of traveling, she had no idea where they were going until she heard the pilot announce it over the intercom on the plane. They were headed to San Jose, California. After landing they jumped in a rental car and had a 3 hour drive ahead of them. By the time they arrived it was dark but they could just make out the trees and mountains in the Yosemite valley. They arrived at Camp Curry, which was an adorable preset campsite, and settled in for the night. The next morning, Aubrey jumped out of bed to grab a cup of coffee and upon opening the tent was stunned by how gorgeous the area around them was. So stunned in fact that she may or may not have cried... but only a little bit. They spent the day going on smaller hikes and unbeknownst to Aubrey, Steven had the ring with him the whole day. They had a 12 hour hike planned the next day to the top of half dome. They woke up at 4am to start their trek. It was gorgeous the entire way to the top, albeit difficult, and Steven had documented the whole thing. They spent the 6 hours on the way up talking and laughing about how chilly it was or how beautiful the area around them was. Steven even found a massive pinecone the size of his head. The last few minutes of the hike were the scariest. Aubrey almost didn't make it up because of fear, but as always Steven was patient and calm. He helped talk her through the rest of the way up and they made it to the summit. Steven ran to set up the tripod for pictures while Aubrey immediately opened a well deserved snack. Steven used the reasoning of half dome being completely empty of other people to get her to ditch the trail mix to take some pictures. When he ran back over to stand beside her, she could feel his heart racing and was half scared that the altitude was causing him to be light headed. He told her to smile for the picture and then he got down on one knee. To say it was one of the happiest moments of their lives would be an understatement.

Madlen and Aubrey have been friends since high school. They met in middle school but their friendship blossomed in high school as they realized that they were kindred spirits, but would have been sooner had it not been for a pair of knee-high converse. Their formative years were spent hanging around Town Center and having sleepovers where Madlen introduced Aubrey to new foods, like liverwurst. Their friendship grew even stronger through life's challenges but most importantly the good times.

Madlen

Morgan is Aubrey's cousin, best friend,  and one of the "three little witches". When Morgan, Allison and Aubrey were little girls they loved playing in the sand on their yearly family trip to padre. One year they were lost in their games in the sand when a storm was quickly approaching. Their parents saw them  with a wall of thunderclouds behind them as they packed up the sand toys on the seawall. The parents decided that they looked like three witches stirring up trouble in the sand and the nickname stuck. Morgan is like Aubrey's sister and has been there through the hard times and the good times.

Aubrey and Alivia met in the Outdoor adventure LLC at Baylor University. Their friendship slowly grew over pizza patron and study sessions in each other dorms. After moving in together, their friendship grew through spinning down the hallways in their roller desk chairs and playing "baseball" with leftover Halloween candy and spiral notebooks. Alivia was there through many of the challenges Aubrey faced as she grew into the woman she is today.  They share so many good memories.

Allison is Aubrey's cousin, best friend, and one of the three little witches. The three of them all have a matching witch hat tattoo to commemorate the bond. Aubrey and Allison spent their formative years at their Aunt Dawn's house after school playing on the street and playing in Meme's backyard. Grandpa used to come out and act sternly when Morgan, Allison, and Aubrey used to fight over which totally spy girl or element from Avatar they would get to play as that day. As they've grown, so has their support for each other's lives and decisions. Allison is like Aubrey's sister and has always been there for her through the bad and good.

Allison

Oscar was Steven's first friend when he moved to Houston. They met at a rave and after realizing they had a lot in common, quickly became close friends. Oscar introduced Steven to different genres of music and over the years Oscar and Steven have gone to countless raves and festivals around Texas and sometimes even Lousiana. Oscar was very influential toward Steven's passion for lifting weights.

Joe and Steven met in high school. They both had a passion for skateboarding and would spend many days after school skating at the skate parks or local spots around town. Over the years they both developed an ear for EDM ( electronic dance music) and started to go to shows and raves all over country. Even after Steven moved to Texas they would meet up annually to see their favorite music artists play at different festivals around the U.S.

Although Tyler and Steven Have only know each other a few years, they have a strong friendship like brothers. They first met at Ubbi Dubbi festival through Stevens mutual friend Griselda, whom Tyler later married last year! Since then Tyler, Steven, Aubrey and Griselda have all formed a rave fam and gone to countless shows together. Recently Tyler gifted Steven his first jersey which he was lucky enough to get signed by the artist "Blanke".

Daniel and Steven met while working at Lifetime Fitness, a fancy fitness club in Houston.  Steven would often go to the LifeCafe where Daniel worked when he forgot lunch and Daniel being very outgoing would strike up conversations. Their friendship began when a group of coworkers decided to go out for wings after the gym closed. Their friendship grew as they realized they shared many interests in tv shows and videogames. Whenever they start a tv show together, they promise not to watch the show without each other. Fun fact; Steven owes Daniel a new coffee table lol

Travel & Lodging 

Steven and Aubrey are attempting to create new traditions. In lieu of a traditional guest book, they ask that you bring a recipe card, included in the invitation, with a recipe on it. There will be a stock pot to place them in near the front of the building.They plan to use the recipes during their date nights where they will be able to try a new recipe, read the well-wishes, and share a delicious meal.
