Dan and Stormy have been together since July 2020 - actually our first date was 07-11 and that's why we chose 11-07 for our wedding date.
Together we share 5 children and we look forward to merging into a family with this union.
We've had our ups and downs with dating, living together, living separately, and growing because of God. The future He has for us is going to be full of everything we can and can't imagine, but with this step of unity we know it will be great!
July 4th, 2020 is when Dan came into my Open House with two crazy kids and a smile. The conversation sparked when we agreed on there being no need for masks to be worn. After we all got introduced, they looked around, and he wrote down all of his information... the interest in each other began.
The next day we followed up and started to talk about more than just house hunting. Dan wasn't on any social media so I hunted everywhere to find a photo or more info about him but came up with one lousy work picture from LinkedIn. Over the week he asked to take me out sometime and I told him I wasn't looking to date for a while. One week later ... on 07/11 ... we met to discuss his real estate needs and it turned into a wonderful, casual, unplanned date.
Who made the first move? How?
He made the first move when he kissed me in the pool after a few beers.
Who's going to take out the trash?
Hopefully one of the kids!
What was your most memorable date?
Our first trip together was to Watson Lake & Prescott for the weekend. That's when we shared a canoe and picnic, learned a lot about each other, worked well together, and fell in love.
That's probably why he tried to recreate that weekend and made it perfect for proposing to me.
What's your favorite activity together?
We really love taking trips together - even just a simple weekend roadtrip. Dan is a great driver and Stormy is the master of the map and music.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Somewhere away from the kids and dogs with some fun and peace. Hopefully a beach too!
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
Rented a motorhome and took our family of 7 on a week long road trip to 4 different states, 4 different national parks, and had a very memorable experience together.
We’re on the same page about:
Making God the center of our home, family, and relationship. And many other things too. Like Dan still gets to take dirt bike trips with the guys.
A life goal of ours:
To have a barndominium on 10 acres with a couple of miniature cows.
The most spontaneous thing we’ve done:
We flew to Louisiana with a couple days notice, partied at Mardi Gras, took a bus to Baton Rouge, bought a vehicle and drove it back home to Phoenix all in 2.5 days.
We are regulars at:
CCV
We take pride in:
Always trying to be the best examples for our kids.
