Our Wedding

“With you, everything feels right.” This quote sums up how Stu and I feel about life after meeting each other. Stu and I began talking on Facebook while he was in Alaska. He posted photos of the northern lights and I messaged him saying how beautiful the photos were, and we hit it off immediately.&nbsp;Shortly after he arrived home, we went for a short walk at the West Woods and Stu claims that he "fell in love before the car door closed." It was such a special time getting to know each other and meeting after a few days of talking. Stu and I both share the same values prior to our introduction and it’s incredibly rare to find that in someone, especially when they only live 20 minutes away. I’m so grateful I mustered up the courage to send him that message and that he went to Alaska and got to see the beauty that Christ created for us. If it hadn't been for his trip, we may have never spoken to each other!

How We Met

Stuart and I went on a road trip for some relaxation and small adventures on the west coast of Florida. We stayed at Stuart’s parents house and enjoyed soaking in the sun and visiting with family. We went to Boca grande, and central FL for an airboat tour to see alligators and wildlife! So many fun dinner nights filled with delicious seafood and great company. After an exciting week, we went with Stu’s family to Disney’s Epcot! They rented an incredible Disney themed house that was beyond unique. Visiting all the countries and trying so many foods in Epcot was a blast but unfortunately it was time to say goodbye to our family and Florida. They were tough goodbyes because it felt like our trip had just begun! Once we got onto the road heading home, Stu told me about a secret he had been planning to spend 3 days in Asheville NC! I was so excited to see what he had planned. Little did I know that in less than 24 hours, we’d be engaged! After arriving at our beautiful airbnb and relaxing for a little while, we ventured out and found this adorable family owned Mexican restaurant which was to die for! Stu knows that Mexican food is my favorite so he had things figured out. After dinner we got ice cream at a local shop and Stu emphasized that we shouldn't stay up late because we had a busy morning.. We left our airbnb bright and early the next day and drove a little less than 45 minutes to somewhere I had always wanted to go. A place where my faith in Christ was shown in a visual form. We arrived at Pretty Place Chapel and walked down the steps towards the cross. Stu hired a photographer who was there waiting for us. Once we got to the ledge I looked off into the Carolina hills and he said his nickname for me “Bell” and when I turned around he was down on one knee! It was such a special moment and something I will never forget. The views were so incredible and we had a blue sky day without a cloud in sight. So grateful for the amazing memory that i’ll always cherish of when we got engaged!
