November 26, 2022 - Ohio State lost miserably to our rival, Michigan. It was also the day of our first date. And that’s how our story began :)

We often ask each other what makes us a perfect fit? There certainly isn’t just one answer, but from our first date at Pike and Rose there was a feeling of comfort and familiarity with one another that was undeniable. Conversation was flowing and effortless, and we each knew something special could be there. We said goodbye that evening hoping date two was on the horizon…

Friday date nights at Matchbox or Cheesecake Factory, with a glass of Malbec in hand, we enjoyed more conversation, laughter, connecting, and growing closer. We would meet for dinner at 6:00 and close down the restaurant at 11:00, saying has it really been 5 hours?! We were both so nervous when we ventured away from our usual dinner date and saw Journey in concert. We got over our jitters and relaxed, singing and dancing at our seats. Melting into one another during “Open Arms” was another sign that what we were building was something special.

We just get each other. Jeff thinks we must have been together in a former life. There is a feeling of calm and contentment when we’re together. We find each other’s quirks charming (I think!), and accept each other’s flaws. We’ve learned over many years how to “do alone”, but are so happy we now get to share a life together.

We both feel incredibly blessed to get a second chance at love. We come to our union with life experience, wisdom, and confidence in knowing what we want as we begin our next chapter! We can’t wait to share our love and happiness with our family and friends as we say “I do”!
