Sum-yu and Eduardo meet in William Floyd High School back in 2015 when Sum-yu was in 11th grade and Eduardo was in 12th grade. They did not have any classes together and met by chance. Sum-yu took piano class as an elective that year and stayed after school for that class due to an event held by a club called KEY Club she was in. When she stayed after school that day, she met Eduardo who was playing a song on the piano. They became friends that day. When they became friends, Sum-yu started noticing Eduardo more often and realized he had the same lunch period as her. They ended up hanging out more often after school and Sum-yu even got Eduardo to join KEY Club with her. After a couple of months, they became a couple on November 25th, 2015.

When they were dating, it was not all perfect. They had their ups and downs, and a lot of conflicts that broke them apart temporarily. However, these hardships made them stronger than ever and they do not regret any negative things that has happened. All choices whether they were good or bad has brought them to where they are today.

Eduardo proposed to Sum-yu on December 31st, 2023 at around 11:50pm, 10 minutes before the New Year! When Eduardo made his speech and proposed to Sum-yu, he played the song that he played on the piano back on the first day they met on the speaker. Obviously, Sum-yu said yes and cried tears of joy.

Once they were officially engaged, they started their wedding planning process the next couple of months and are still currently planning. They have set their wedding date to June 26th, 2025 at Larkfield in East Northport on Long Island, NY.
