We met through mutual friends in the spring of 2018. On our first date, we watched a scary movie because it was Friday the 13th.
That summer, we spent a lot of time together while Nick was taking classes in town. Once the fall semester began, we saw each other almost every day — hanging out after class, going to parties and tailgates, and getting to know each other better.
By August 2019, we took our first beach trip together to Seaside, Florida, and we’ve gone back every summer since.
In 2020, we both got COVID and spent ten straight days quarantined together. It was actually great — minus being sick. Nick watched The Princess Diaries with me, and I learned to play one of his favorite video games (Dark Souls 3).
College was filled with semiformals, study sessions, and the kind of small, ordinary days that ended up being some of our best memories.
After graduation, we celebrated with a trip to Italy. We explored Rome, took a day trip to Tuscany that turned out to be a Twilight filming location, ate at the home of Alfredo pasta, and saw a special Van Gogh exhibit.
We moved in together in September 2023, got engaged at Avondale Park Villa in December 2024, and bought our first house in August 2025.
We look forward to celebrating this next chapter of our lives with you all on April 25, 2026!
