Summer and Zach met in April 2014 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Summer's roommate at James Madison University was Kelsey Peck who happen to have been dating, Luke Noble, Zach's roommate at the University of Virginia. Kelsey and Luke had been trying to get the two together for a while and had finally succeeded! Summer and her roommates went to visit UVA for the weekend and sparks started to fly!

Zach graduated with his Master's in Education from UVA in May 2014. Zach was living in Charlottesville and started his teaching career in Louisa. At this time, Summer and Zach started their 2 year long distance relationship while Summer finished up school at JMU and graduated May 2015. Summer then moved home and started her career at Under Armour in Baltimore after graduation.

After all of the 3 hour drives back and forth from Maryland to Virginia, Zach finally moved out of his small town to the big city of Baltimore and started teaching and coaching in Annapolis.

Zach proposed to Summer on June 30th, 2018 at King Family Vineyards in Charlottesville. All of their family and friends were there to help celebrate the amazing day! It could not have been any more special for them. They are now excited to get married exactly 1 year later!
