Where are the events taking place?

All the events will be at the Golf Club at New Castle (15500 Six Penny Ln, Newcastle, WA 98059). We have the full venue, but you may see golfers still checking in for rounds on the left of the main building. Proceed through the main or right-hand entrance to join the celebrations.

What time is the wedding ceremony?

The Barat, which is the entry of the groom, will start at 8:30 am and conclude at the mandap by 9 am. Then the actual wedding ceremony begins.

What time is the reception?

Reception will start with a cocktail from 6 - 7pm, followed by the dinner and dancing from 7 - 11pm.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please get us your RSVP by May 5th, so we have enough time to arrange for everything.

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

The dress code for our wedding is Indian or Western formal. Depending on the weather, we have plans for the wedding to be done outdoors or in a covered area (no need to plan for rain). However, since it begins in the morning, there might be a slight chill (you never know with Seattle, even in June).

What weather should I expect?

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

We have contingency plans for both an indoor or an outdoor ceremony. Rest assured, no one will be standing in the rain as we get married. Keep an eye on the weather to gauge if you want to bring a light layer for the wind and sun (jacket, parasol, or hat).

Will there be any food and beverage during the wedding ceremony?

Yes, there will be some light refreshments along with tea, coffee, and juice.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the couple will be taking pictures with family and friends for about an hour. Guests can walk over to a vegetarian lunch that will be waiting for them. There will be a break from 1:30pm till the cocktail hour which begins at 6pm followed by dinner and dancing at 7pm.

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?

We are not providing any formal transportation for the events, but our ceremony and reception are taking place at the same venue. There is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and Lyft or Uber are great options for those who don’t. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.

How do I RSVP?

We sure hope you’ll be able to join us for our special day. You can find the RSVP link in the header of the wedding website once you have your plans in place.

Can I bring my partner?

We are at capacity with our venue, which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.

I can’t attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

We’ve decided to stream our wedding ceremony for guests who can’t make it to be with us in person. You’ll find all the details in the livestream section of this page.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

There will be light snacks during cocktail hour, followed by a delicious Indian dinner, and of course dessert.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

We love photos! During the ceremony feel free to take candid pictures; we'll not be able to pose for unofficial photos. We encourage guests to post pictures using our wedding hashtag #supanya, so that we can see those, too!
