Dress Code Guide

Day 1, Event 1: Haldi/Mehendi

Women

We recommend wearing bright-colored sarees, lehengas, or salwar kameez. Yellow is a traditional color for this event, so it would be lovely if you could wear something in this shade, but it's not mandatory.

Please note that Mehendi (henna) will be applied, so it's best to choose outfits with short sleeves or designs that allow easy access to your arms.

Day 1, Event 2: Cocktail Night

Women

A saree or lehenga would be perfect to match the occasion’s traditional vibe. Alternatively, a cocktail dress is also a great option for those who prefer Western attire.

Men

Opt for a suit, tuxedo or a sherwani. Alternatively you can also opt for tailored shirt with dress pants for a relaxed look.

Day 2, Event 1: Wedding

Women

We recommend wearing elegant traditional attire such as sarees, lehengas, or anarkali dresses. You can also consider wearing a salwar kameez, sharara, Kurti with palazzo or skirt or gows with ethnic touch/embellishment. While we encourage traditional outfits to celebrate the cultural significance of the ceremony, please feel free to wear whatever you are most comfortable in.

Men

We recommend wearing formal traditional attire such as sherwanis, kurtas with churidars, or bandhgalas. You might also consider a well-tailored suit (but know that it will be hot during the day). We encourage you to embrace the cultural significance of the ceremony with your outfit, but ultimately, choose what makes you feel most comfortable and confident.

Day 2, Event 2: Reception

Women

The reception will have a western theme to honor the groom's side of culture. The bride will most likely be wearing a white gown so we encourage the guests to wear western attire such as evening gowns or cocktail dresses. For elder indian guests who are not comfortable wearing western outfits can opt for sarees or lehengas in muted tones or long ethnic gowns to compliment the western theme beautifully. The most important thing is for everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the celebration.

Men

Opt for a suit or a tailored shirt with dress pants for relaxed look.
