HOW THEY MET...

Susan and Stephen met on August 17th, 2014, their second day of freshman year, at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Susan was a bookworm and Stephen played sports. Over the years, they flirted and spent almost every day together. Eventually, Stephen dug up the courage to ask Susan to be his girlfriend. Over the years, they went on many adventures, visiting 6 different states together spanning from New Jersey to California.

THE PROPOSAL...



In 2021, Stephen joined the United States Navy and had to move around a lot, while Susan was back in her hometown. The two lovebirds visited each other frequently. They knew everything about each other during their long, happy relationship- except one thing. What Susan did not know about Stephen was that he had a secret. He was saving money while on his eight-month long deployment to buy Susan's engagement ring once he landed in Japan. Once purchased, Stephen returned back to his homeport in San Diego and started planning how to ask the love of his life to marry him. He decided to take her on a stroll through the lovely neighborhood of Little Italy and after a nice dinner and lots of laughs, he took a knee and asked Susan to marry him on July 2nd, 2023.
