For over 25 years, Susy and Nayan lived 30 minutes away from each other, yet had never met. Susy was born in Washington, DC and moved to Silver Spring, MD when she was 12 years old. Nayan was born and raised in Germantown, MD, where he spent the better part of 3 decades.

As life would have it, Susy and Nayan began a similar path after Covid, working with their friends and personal trainers, Kevin and Deme. Nayan would see her in passing, between sessions. Susy noticed him at a mixer event. Neither thought anything of it.

All it took was a connection over social media, to jumpstart the rest of their lives! After that, Susy and Nayan spoke to each other every single day, and haven't skipped a beat since. Nayan had left for a new city, and Susy was all the way back home. They didn't let that stop them, though!

Susy booked her first flight to Denver only a few weeks after meeting Nayan. She can still remember leaving her classroom to call her best friend Jasmine, to tell her she was about to do something "kinda crazy". Jasmine played her role as best friend wonderfully, and even dropped her at the airport to meet her newfound love.

Because it was so important for them to both connect with each other's families, Nayan moved back to Germantown a few months after leaving. After months of family events, get togethers, and holiday celebrations, it was time for the new couple to move back to Denver and begin their lives.

And, as everyone knows, Nayan couldn't even wait more than 2 days before proposing to the love of his life in their new city.
