Golden Gate Bridge Guided Bike Tour

Picture of Golden Gate Bridge Guided Bike Tour
2715 Hyde Street, San Francisco, California 94109

Explore the beautiful San Francisco on a guided 8-mile (12.8-km) bike ride to the bayside town of Sausalito. Cruise by city parks, Fisherman’s Wharf, and over the famous Golden Gate Bridge as your guide shares entertaining facts and trivia about the celebrated landmarks along the way.

Grab your helmet and listen in as your guide shares tips and instructions for safely navigating in traffic and staying together in a group. Then hop onto a custom-fitted bike of your choice and hit the road, following your guide along designated bike paths through the city.

Check out the beaches and bathhouses of historic Aquatic Park, and pass the bustling seafood restaurants and souvenir shops of Fisherman’s Wharf. Pedal by the pastel homes and boutiques of the Marina and the old military buildings of Fort Mason toward Golden Gate Bridge. Cross over the impressive span of this emblematic suspension bridge on a bike path that protects you from the rushing traffic nearby and stop to marvel at the city skyline from 245 feet (75 m) above the Bay.

Once you’re over the bridge, ride downhill into the charming waterfront town of Sausalito, where the guided tour concludes. Enjoy some time on your own to explore the local galleries, shops, and beachfront restaurants. Grab a bite to eat before returning to San Francisco—you can cross the Bay via ferry or head back by bike the same way you came. If you’d like to see more, opt to extend your tour with a self-guided bike ride to charming Mill Valley and Old Mill Park, where you can picnic or relax in the shade of towering redwood trees. From there, continue onto historic Tiburon or return to Sausalito to catch the ferry back to San Francisco.

Climb onto a comfortable coach as you leave downtown San Francisco behind and cruise beneath the iconic cables strung along the Golden Gate Bridge. Enjoy views of the bay and of the Pacific Ocean before reaching the other side. Trade traffic noise and concrete for bird songs and ferns as you enter the beloved Muir Woods.

Keep your eyes peeled for deer and chipmunks that call the woods home and check out immersive exhibits that detail the park's history.

Sol Food Puerto Rican Cuisine

We come here every time we visit Marin!! The Bistec Sandwich never disappoints--delicious steak and pressed french bread are the foundation of this Puerto Rican delight, with Avocado and carmelized onions. Also try the Ponche drink (Half Mango Iced Tea, Half Limeade - A.K.A. Arnoldo Palmero!) It's super refreshing!

There will definitely be a line, but be patient--it moves fast and IT'S SO WORTH IT!
