Our Wedding

We met in college when I&nbsp;was a junior and Ryan was a senior at North Carolina State University (Go Pack!).&nbsp; Ryan was gearing up to graduate and move to Cincinnati, OH&nbsp;to begin his career as an engineer with GE&nbsp;Aviation.

We began dating, and decided to take a long distance relationship head on.&nbsp; I&nbsp;was finishing up my final year in Raleigh, NC while Ryan was tackling his first year in the real world with GE&nbsp;and the ACE&nbsp;program (still waiting on my honorary&nbsp;Master's degree, GE).









Upon my graduation in 2015, I&nbsp;moved to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to start my Human Resources career.&nbsp; We continued the long distance and visited each other every chance we got, and also got to explore some neat places along the way.









At the end of&nbsp;2016, I&nbsp;was offered a position in Cincinnati with the same company and took it immediately.&nbsp; Ryan nicely helped me pack all of my things from PA, drive them down to NC, and then up to OH&nbsp;after the holidays.&nbsp; After spending more than 2.5 years more than 8 hours apart from each other, I&nbsp;finally moved to Cincinnati on December 30, 2016.









I&nbsp;always joked that in order for me to move, I&nbsp;needed to have three things: Cincinnati Bengals tickets (unfortunately), a puppy, and a ring.&nbsp; We first got the Bengals tickets with great friends.&nbsp; Then, after a lot of nudging, we got our puppy child, Luke in May of 2017.&nbsp; Then, the best day happened.&nbsp; August 31st, 2017.









The day started off with a margarita pitcher and tacos from one of our favorite OTR&nbsp;spots, Bakersfield Tacos.&nbsp; Since it was such a beautiful day, we then decided to head over to the zoo.&nbsp; We had a great time seeing many different animals, and I&nbsp;even got to feed a giraffe (best $4 ever spent!).&nbsp; After we realized that Fiona was not in Hippo Cove, we decided to head home.&nbsp;





A&nbsp;little drowsy from the margaritas&nbsp;as well as from walking around the zoo, I&nbsp;immediately fell asleep on the couch, not suspecting a thing.&nbsp; Ryan decided to play a little game and placed the ring box all around the apartment, wondering if I'd wake up and see it.





I&nbsp;finally woke up and attempted to go get ready for Game of Thrones trivia, when Ryan stopped me.&nbsp; I&nbsp;didn't realize what was going on or why, but when I&nbsp;finally did, I&nbsp;blacked out.&nbsp; I&nbsp;was in so much shock that Ryan was able to pull off this surprise, that I&nbsp;don't remember what he said to me.&nbsp; I&nbsp;was obviously able to muster up a yes, but I apparently even took the ring out of the box myself and put it on my finger...still sorry, Ryan.





After we FaceTimed our parents and were able to tell them the good news, we were lucky enough to head downtown to celebrate with some great friends at Game of Thrones trivia.
