Alex and I first met in jail :) He transferred from the Adult Detention Center to the Juvenile Detention Center as my new supervisor in 2016. Alex and I worked well together, never crossed any lines, but definitely took advantage of flirting with each other. One night, a group of us went out after working second shift and Sgt. Bruschi decided to join the grunt workers. Alex and I ditched everyone, stood at the bar and talked for the rest of the night. He was such a gentleman, walked me to my car and said good night. Fast forward about 5 years. Alex and I were both in not so desirable positions in our lives and decided to make some serious changes. We reconnected over a SnapChat of him planting a new garden. I raved about loving a hard working man and he asked me on a date the following week. Alex has embraced my big family and loves my Princess and Knuckleheads. Alex has a four year old son, Carter, who has also loved getting to be around so much family at one time. Carter is taking his role as ring bearer VERY seriously. Alex met a lot of my family walking around at the Fiesta and at our Torrez family reunion. No one scared him off because he proposed the night of the reunion! Alex and I both have appreciated the love and support we have received since making this announcement and cannot wait for this celebration to kick off the rest of our lives!
