Our journey together began when we were 15, both on the same swim team, at a meet in Pittsburgh. It was a simple moment that would turn into something much greater.
After our team had left on the bus, we were left behind at the pool, and during that time, we began talking and getting to know one another.
That summer, we started dating, and over the years, we built our relationship on faith, trust, and mutual respect. We spent countless hours walking together during the quieter days of COVID, talking about our dreams, our faith, and our hopes for the future.
Swimming continued to be a special part of our relationship.
When we graduated, life took us in different directions, with Micah attending William and Mary and Suzanne heading to James Madison University. As we faced the challenges of distance and time apart, our relationship struggled, and we decided to break up for a year.
During that time, we spent a lot of time in prayer, reflecting on God's will for our lives. And as we sought His guidance, Suzanne wrote Micah a letter.
By God’s grace, we found our way back to each other, and it was clear that He had been working in both of our hearts to bring us together again.
Now, by His grace, we are together, and we’re so grateful for the foundation that our faith has provided in our relationship. We are excited to continue building our life together, trusting that God will lead us through all the seasons of our marriage. We know that with Him at the center of our relationship, we can face anything together.
