Suzen and Ted were good friends way back in high school, but were always true friends- not a hint of any romance. One autumn night forty three years ago they were out at party, and shared an experience that had stuck with both Suzen and Ted ever since.
They would not understand its significance until they reconnected back in December of 2022 via Facebook. In the process of old friends sharing the paths of their lives since high school, it became obvious that they walked very similar paths, and in very close proximity to each other too.
That being said, they each had a connection to western Massachusetts and then to the Land of Enchantment- New Mexico.
Regrettably even as their lives changed, their paths never fully crossed-although it could've happened at numerous times. Often life is full of irony, and one such example was when Ted worked in Albuquerque, Suzen only lived a couple miles from the Whole Foods that Ted worked at.
Ted more than likely had driven by her, as she was walking to work along Eubank- as Suzen walked every where during this time, and Ted lived in the East Mountains.
Each oblivious to their true love being only a glance away. Just for the record, Suzen never entered " Whole Paycheck" as it was often called.
So when the stars finally aligned, they both knew that their destiny to be together had finally come fully circle, and that memory from more than forty years ago finally revealed its joyous meaning.
Suzen and Ted not being one to waste another moment- OK maybe only Ted, their romantic relationship blossomed quite quickly. Ted called it the " love express" and nothing or no one was going to stop it.
Yes, the truth is that after only three dates-just for the record they were weekend long dates, Suzen had no choice but to move back to Connecticut to be with Ted.
Ted proposed to Suzen less than 11 months after they rekindled their friendship...and so their lives together finally begins.
" And it's just a box of rain, I don't know who put it there
Believe it if you need it or leave it if you dare
And it's just a box of rain, or a ribbon for your hair
Such a long, long time to be gone and a short time to be there"
We look forward to seeing you all on our wedding day.
Love & light.
