1. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite black-tie/formal attire! For women, a full-length silhouette. For men, a tux isn't required but welcomed, but please do include a tie and a suit jacket.
· Are there any colors you would prefer me not to wear?
Our bridesmaids will be in lilac, and our groomsmen will be in charcoal, and I will be in white 😊 If possible, please avoid these color schemes
2. What will the weather be like this time of year?
Temperatures tend to dip a bit at night, and since the event will be outside you might want to bring a jacket or wrap. However there will also be heaters to help keep all of our guests warm.
3. Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be taking place at the same venue – Mountainside Weddings - 3965 Star Meadow Rd, Whitefish, MT 59937
5. What happens after the ceremony?
“After the ceremony, all formal family photos will be taken nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the pavilion where we will be serving local Montana appetizers and beverages.”
9. How do I get to the venue?
The address of the venue is 3965 Star Meadow Rd, Whitefish, MT 59937, but we encourage any guests choosing to partake in our selection of local to Montana libations to take advantage of the shuttles we are providing to and from the Firebrand – the hotel with our block
10. What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m on May 29. We kindly ask guests to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to grab a seat and get settled.
11. Where should guests park? Is parking free?
There is a large gravel parking lot at the venue that is free of charge. We are providing a shuttle to and from the Firebrand (where our hotel block is) all night long. It will leave the Firebrand at 4:45 PM.
12. Are kids welcome?
“While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.”
14. Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
Tip: Let your guests know if you reserved a hotel block, the pricing, address, and give them alternative hotel options in the area.
16. Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?
The venue has lots of gravel and some inclines, but no steps or stairs. We will be providing golf carts for any of our guests who have trouble getting around.
17. Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?
We will be having a full dinner served, complete with appetizers, desserts, and local libations.
22. Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels of their vacation time in MT, and of course any photos taken during the cocktail hour and reception. We do request a NO PHOTO ceremony, outside of our fantastic photographer Kelly Kirksey and her second shoots. If you do post photos to your social media, we ask that you please tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #VivaLaVargas so we can keep track of all of your pictures! We will have a SnapChat filter at the venue, too!
