Our Story

Sydney and Noah’s love story is a testament to the beauty of God’s perfect timing. It all began on Thursday, May 18, 2023—a day that would change both their lives forever.

Every Thursday, James hosted a pool party primarily for employees of My Brothers Bagel. It was a fun and regular tradition, and Sydney, an employee there, rarely missed it. On this particular Thursday, an unexpected event set the stage for something extraordinary. Earlier that day, the electrical box outside the Denver Chick-fil-A caught fire, leading to the restaurant’s early closure. Thursdays were typically the busiest nights for Chick-fil-A, so the employees, including Noah, were surprised to be sent home early.

Noah’s brother, Joey, also worked at My Brothers Bagel and planned to attend James’s pool party. Knowing Noah suddenly had the evening free, Joey invited him to join. Noah, with a hint of humor, thought, “Well, I have nothing better to do, and who knows? I might meet my future wife.” Little did he know, that’s exactly what was about to happen.

Sydney and Noah’s initial meeting was marked by hesitation. Sydney had recently gone through a breakup, and Noah’s social anxiety made him cautious in new settings. But as the evening unfolded, God’s plan began to take shape. The two started talking, finding comfort and connection in each other’s presence. By the end of the night, Noah had mustered the courage to ask Sydney for her Snapchat and offered her a ride home. What seemed like a simple gesture at the time was the beginning of something divine.

Reflecting on their lives, Sydney and Noah realized they had crossed paths countless times growing up without ever truly meeting. It was clear that their union on that Thursday wasn’t a coincidence—it was orchestrated by God’s hand.

Their relationship blossomed quickly, filled with shared faith and deepening love. On Sunday, June 4, 2023, Sydney and Noah officially began dating. Just two weeks later, on June 18, they said “I love you” to each other for the first time. It was a love that felt undeniable and destined.

As the months passed, they both knew they had found the one they wanted to spend their lives with. After about three months of dating, their conversations naturally turned to marriage. Finally, on July 14, 2024—406 days after they first started dating—Noah got down on one knee and asked Sydney to marry him. With hearts full of gratitude and faith, they said “yes” to a future built on love and God’s guidance.
