Graduating from Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) marked a significant milestone in my life. That morning was filled with pride and accomplishment. As evening rolled around, one of my best friends organized a graduation party for us to celebrate with fellow classmates and local friends. Among the guests was Sydney, along with a couple of friends I hadn't met before.

Eager to make a memorable introduction, I asked Sydney to dance. The first song was a slow one, creating an intimate moment between us. As the music transitioned to more upbeat tunes, we found ourselves lost in the rhythm, grooving together like we had known each other forever. That night marked the beginning of something extraordinary for both Sydney and me; we were hooked on each other's presence.

Throughout the summer, we spent countless hours together. Our adventures included night drives under starlit skies, cozy bonfires, and cherished moments with family. As fall approached, Sydney returned to her studies at Winona State University. Our time together became more precious, and I frequently drove down to see her after work, willing to drive back in the early morning just for a few more hours in her company. Her love, radiant smile, and sense of humor had become an essential part of my life.

In the summer of 2021, we took a significant step forward by moving in together. Our love deepened with each passing day. From house renovations to quiet movie nights, every moment was a testament to our growing bond. On September 28, 2022, I realized I was ready to marry the love of my life. Sydney’s excitement and surprise were palpable, leaving little room for words in that joyous moment.

Reflecting on the journey from our first dance to the many dances that followed, I cherish every moment shared with Sydney. As we prepare to marry, I am filled with excitement for the future and the new chapter we are about to embark on. Together, we look forward to sharing our happiness with the people we love and exploring all that life has in store for us.

Sydney and I have built a beautiful life together, and I am eager to see where our journey will lead. Through love, laughter, and countless memories, we are ready to face whatever comes our way, hand in hand.

It all started on a cool evening when my friends and I decided to join a bonfire at my friend's grandparents' place. As we approached the fire, a guy amusingly called out, "MEEOOOW," which made us girls burst into laughter. It turned out he was referring to my friend's shirt that had “Ziegler Cat" emblazoned on it.

As we mingled with a group of our guy friends, one of them approached me. His ocean-blue eyes, reflecting the firelight, captivated me instantly. After a moment of being lost in each other's gaze, he introduced himself and asked me to slow dance. I accepted, and we spent the night dancing under the stars. Although we mingled with others throughout the evening, the connection was undeniable.

The very next night, this guy, Chad, invited us over to his farm for a gathering. My friends and I went, and that night, Chad and I were inseparable, talking endlessly and discovering more about each other.

From that day forward, we spent everyday together. Chad's search for property soon became our shared adventure. After viewing several houses, we stumbled upon the perfect fixer-upper. We bought it and immediately dove into renovations, tearing down walls and ceilings, transforming the house into our dream home. It's been a labor of love, and we remind ourselves, "day by day."

On September 28, 2022, Chad asked me to bring him dinner during his long night out for the first day of harvest. Despite my busy schedule as a first-year teacher, I made sure to bring him dinner. When I arrived, Chad seemed different. He inquired about my day, and before I knew it, he was on one knee, expressing his love. I couldn't help but interrupt with excited exclamations of "Oh my god" and "What are you doing?" But there was never a doubt—I said yes.

We are thrilled to be where we are today, and we eagerly anticipate what the future holds for us. We are excited to share this special day with you all and can't wait to celebrate the next chapter of our lives together. Thank you for being part of our journey.
