I remember the first time I went to grace Bible fellowship. I remember seeing Dustin and thinking, wow we could be really good friends. A year and a half later we’re now getting married!!
We started out just hanging out, and doing fun things. Our first time ever going out was hiking up at rainbow falls with Dustin’s sister Rachael chaperoning (she’s the best ;) ). From then it was a lot of bowling dates, hiking dates, and video game dates (Dustin’s favorite).
After we dated for two months, Dustin left for Basic and AIT at fort sill. We had two months of one ten minute phone call a week, and a letter in between. Sundays would be spent with my phone right by my side, waiting for that call.
In October Dustin’s parents, his brother Nicholas and I started the long drive down to Oklahoma to see Dustin graduate. Seeing him for that first time was the best feeling ever. But pretty soon it was time to say goodbye for another two months.
Dustin finally came home on my birthday in December.
From that point on, we spent a lot of time growing together, and making a lot of memories together. Including spending our date-a-versiry at Alton bay, dragging him down to buzzards bay, and re-visiting rainbow falls.
On September 25, 2022 Dustin asked me to marry him while we were apple picking. It was the most special moment ever and we both can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together. :)
Dustin is currently serving our country on his first deployment. We are looking forward to planning another wedding, and having one hell of a celebration in April!!!!
