It all began in February 2021, on a simple night that would change everything. David asked me out for drinks, and what started as a casual evening turned into hours of conversation, laughter, and a connection that felt effortless. By the end of the night, I knew there was something special about him, and before we knew it, we were falling in love.

After just three exciting months together, life took us on an unexpected adventure. A work trip brought us to Jacksonville, Florida, where David introduced me to the beach for the very first time. Walking along the shore with the ocean stretching endlessly before us, David asked a question I didn’t see coming: “Could you ever see yourself living in Florida?” Without a second thought, I said, “Of course!” But then he asked, “Would you move here with me?”

That moment was one I’ll never forget. It wasn’t just about Florida; it was about being with David, wherever that might take us. My answer was simple: “Yes, of course.”

Over the next few months, we saved every penny and, with the incredible support of David’s parents, Jay and Kathie, we packed up and started a new chapter of our lives in Florida. It was a leap of faith, but we knew we were ready to take it together.

Fast forward nearly two years, and David had one more surprise in store. During a trip to Puerto Rico, where I thought we would be taking our Christmas card photos. Little did I know, David had carefully planned something far more meaningful.

In Ponce, he led me to the breathtaking gardens of Museo Castillo Serrallés. I noticed he seemed a little nervous, but I didn’t think much of it. As we admired the view, David’s family appeared, and before I could figure out what was going on, I turned to see him on one knee with a ring in his hand.

For a moment, I was in complete shock, but then his mother, Kathie, yelled out, “Well, answer the man!” I snapped back to reality and quickly gave the easiest “yes” of my life. The moment was so perfect, surrounded by so much love and beauty, I’ll never forget how magical it felt.

As we plan for our wedding, David and I are focused on building the life we’ve always dreamed of together. I’m finishing my bachelor’s degree in accounting as I prepare myself to become a CPA, while David is focused on growing Krawczyk Financial. That’s why we’ve chosen a wedding date two years out—to allow ourselves the time we need to achieve our goals and enjoy this time together being engaged.

Though, we are beyond excited to become husband and wife. We are even more excited to share this day with the people we love most. So please, save the date and RSVP.
