Our Wedding

Sydney and Jeremy first met at the Humane Society Dog Park in Boone, NC. They were both sophomores at Appalachian State and taking advantage of a break in classes to get their pups outside. The pups, Maizy and Hickory, played together and Sydney began chatting with Jeremy. He was very shy at first but still made an impression on her that day. Sydney began looking for their truck anytime she and Maizy went back to the dog park, but their paths didn't cross again until senior year. Sydney and Jeremy began talking again once they matched on Tinder, she referred to him as "the cute guy from the dog park". Their first date happened in September of 2020 when Jeremy took her out to Basil's in Boone. Jeremy was very intentional on the first date and impressed Sydney with the many questions he asked to get to know her. They have been together ever since and are forever grateful that Maizy and Hickory brought them together.

How We Met

Sydney and Jeremy moved to Colorado in September of 2021 to start their careers and build a life together. In Colorado, they grew closer and deeper in love as they navigated the highs and lows of life in a new place. They built a life they loved and grew a community of people they loved to share it with. Finally, in October of 2023, Jeremy planned a trip for the pair to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. They spent the weekend exploring the town and enjoyed several hikes with Maizy and Hickory. On the evening of October 14th, Jeremy planned a sunset hike at Steamboat Lake State Park. There, Jeremy asked Sydney to spend the rest of their lives together. Through tears she said "Yes" and they began the next great chapter of their story.

Take a scenic drive through the Rocky Mountains for beautiful views (if the weather is good, please check road conditions.) The Peak to Peak highway is a free scenic drive with great views! For a longer day trip, venture up to Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park, CO.
