This story starts in high school, typical, but not really exciting. It is just the first place we "technically" met each other. But to be honest, we never exchanged more than a few sentences all four years. Fast forward a couple years post-graduation, post-BMT (for Gannon), and even post-COVID. At this point we still didn't really know each other too well. Gannon was home on leave visiting family, celebrating his birthday, and catching up with old friends. Since we did happen to share the same friends, I made SURE to be apart of the festivities when he was home. I'm sure you guys have been wondering so far, yes, of course I had a major crush on him! After this things progressed pretty quickly. We were dating before his leave was even up (I wasn't letting him get away).After this we did long distance for about a year and a half before I made the big move to Omaha, NE. We lived with a great roomate, Matt and had fun navigating life on our own. Next, I tried to convince him that if he was going to keep going on yearly deployments, that I HAD to have a dog to keep me company while he was gone. This wasn't going well because he just, "isn't a dog guy." Anyways, his name is Lowe, he's a Corgi, and behind closed doors, he's Gannon's best buddy.October 2024, when Gannon finally made my dreams come true and asked me to be his wife on a family vacation in St. George Island, FL. I would relive this day over 100 times if I could. I think he would too. It was raining at dinner but by the time we got back home and wandered to the beach, God had a beautiful sunset waiting for us. Truly a fairytale moment for me and even sweeter to celebrate with our families after.We are now in wait to finally come together as one. We are planning a wedding and soaking up all the moments in between. Praying to God for wisdom and guidance as we get ready to navigate our next chapter together. It's been such peace, comfort, laughter, and love for the last four years with my best friend. It's not the most exciting love story but it's ours and we wouldn't trade it for anything different. We can't wait to celebrate with you all.
