We met at Morehead State University in the Fall of 2017, where we had our first class together in the Herron Leadership organization. We did community service events together. When Sydney would sign up for a community service event, Jacobs' name would quickly follow up on the list for the same event.

In our second semester we had a few other classes together, one of them being Biology 171. We had the same class and lab together so this meant we got to have study sessions together with our friend Mckenna. As our college years went on Jacobs' love for Sydney kept growing and growing. We would go on late night car rides with Mckenna, go eat at Renos with our friend Joe, play Monopoly, and go out to eat together.

In 2022 we began to become much closer. We spent a lot of time together in Lexington. We would go to UK sporting events and out to eat. There was one specific baseball game that we attended with our friend, Tessa, this is where Sydney finally realized that she liked Jacob. A little bit of time went by and Jacob asked Sydney to be his wedding date.

At the wedding reception, we were having a good conversation about Syd getting accepted into UK’s Physical Therapy program. It would be only a couple weeks later that Jacob would help Sydney move.

After that, the rest was history!

Then we got engaged on September 24th, 2023!
