Our story began in the summer of 2018 at a local pizza place called Chicago Dough. What started off as a few shared shifts and knowing mutual friends, quickly turned into something much more. That summer, we found ourselves connecting on a deep and unexpected level finding every random excuse to hang out with each other in our free time. This included an almost 13 hour day where we found ourselves exploring all over Chicago, talking all day, and slowly realizing that something special was beginning to unfold. However, the story did not start then... the next day marked the night before Sydney left for college.

That last night before Sydney left, Cameron FINALLY asked her to be his girlfriend, and so began the next chapter—four years of long-distance love while Sydney pursued her nursing degree. Despite the challenges of busy schedules and time apart, we stayed connected and committed, always finding ways to grow closer even when miles away.

In 2020, our story took an adventurous turn when Sydney studied abroad in Barcelona. Cameron flew across the world to visit, and in the midst of a global pandemic (thanks, COVID), we explored Spain together, made unforgettable memories, and almost got stuck overseas. It was a wild, beautiful chapter that only deepened our bond and reminded us of the joy we find in every new adventure.

After six amazing years together, Cameron proposed during a dream trip to Italy—in the city of Positano, overlooking the sea. With tears, laughter, and limoncello in hand, we celebrated the beginning of our forever.

We’re so grateful for the journey that’s brought us here, and we can’t wait to continue writing our love story as The Bulows—with plenty more adventures to come.
