A story we hear more and more nowadays, Sydney and Philip met on a dating app! One swipe and that was it. They had an instant connection. It didn’t even matter that they lived 2 hours apart. After getting to know each other through calls and texts, they met halfway in Walterboro, SC of all places. From then on, they knew this was something special!

They traveled back and forth each weekend splitting time between Summerville and Bluffton SC. Each weekend was better than the last. As the first year went on they knew it was meant to be!

Eventually, Philip proposed to Sydney by recreating their first date in Walterboro. Special thanks to Jack Hazel for stealthily capturing this special moment.

They waited an entire week to tell their parents and kept it a secret from them. As they all sat down for dinner in downtown Charleston they shared the news that they were engaged. Jaws hit the table as Sydney revealed the ring and everyone was thrilled!

From their first date in Walterboro, SC to now living together in Summerville, SC it’s been such a fun and adventurous last year and a half. They are so excited to share their special day with all of their wonderful friends and family!
